She has many years of experience working with women who have suffered ante natal and post natal depression, anxiety and birth trauma.

Jules enjoys teaching people how to help themselves using EFT, empowering people to re-connect with their bodies, learning how to feel calm and safe in the world again.

What is eft/tapping?

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. It involves tapping on acupressure points on the face and upper body, whilst bringing a negative thought or emotion to mind. It is a very effective stress management tool, as it lowers the stress hormones in the body, like cortisol and adrenaline, which helps a person to calm down and think clearly again.

Re-Writing Stories

What stories are you telling yourself in your head?

Even though we spend a lot of time worrying about what others might think of us, what really matters is “What do you think of yourself?”

“I am not good enough”, “I can’t trust”, “they wont like me”, “I am not worthy” and “I am not safe” are all common core issues.

Your “self talk” has a huge impact on the way you feel, and many people are not conscious of how negative and damaging their self talk is, and how it keeps them stuck.

Everyone has these “Core Beliefs” which are usually developed in the very early years of childhood, in response to what was absorbed from our parents/carers, siblings, friends and family.

Combined with the bad things that happened to us, we form limiting beliefs about ourselves and the world, like “it is not okay for me to speak up”. These beliefs then affect our relationships, our confidence and our work lives.

World Trauma experts tell us that Trauma lives in the body, so we need to use the body to help release it. That’s why EFT and other “somatic” approaches are gaining recognition. They bring the body in to therapy, and help people learn how to help themselves.

EFT is brilliant for releasing the traumas which create the negative beliefs. With EFT we have the ability to create new stories.

The Experience

Recently I had my beloved nan & mother pass away. I also had a few other issues layering on top of that.

Tapping helped me to grieve in a better way, I was able to surrender to the deep anxiety, grief & trauma of losing a loved one, navigating through emotions with self-love.

I found that tapping also helped with my other problems, helping to change my thinking surrounding my issues, with troubling thoughts disappearing, to which I am immensely grateful for.

Tapping helps with calming your body down & relaxing from a constant fear / defence mode. I wasn’t sure if this would work for me, however it most definitely has. The best of all is that you can learn to do it yourself at home.

Thank you so much Jules, I am eternally grateful.

My Promise

To provide evidenced based techniques and therapy combined with the nurturing space needed for you to move through trauma & setbacks.

My mission is always to create safety, trust and rapport with anyone I am working with. Because if people don’t feel safe, they cannot relax and feel vulnerable, and the healing does not happen without these main ingredients.

With my skills and expertise in EFT for trauma, and 30 years of experience as a social worker and therapist, I know there is no emotion and no trauma to big or too small for me to help you with.

About Me

I help people recover from trauma.

Anxiety, depression, PTSD, work or relationship problems can all be the result of traumas experienced in the past.

Maybe you are just feeling “stuck” or procrastinating in your life. Holding yourself back from doing the things you say you want to do. Lacking in confidence. All of this can be due to past traumas you may not even remember consciously.

But your body remembers everything.

My favourite thing to do is help people uncover the pieces of their own puzzle, to find out what is happening for them now. And most importantly, to help them move through the process in a safe, gentle and empowering way.
