Welcome,

I’m Jules, and I am a Certified Master EFT Trainer, Mentor and Social Worker who specialises in training other mental health professionals in trauma-focused Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).

I teach EFT the slow, safe and gentle way.

I’m passionate about helping other mental health professionals to find increased job satisfaction through learning how to do EFT/Tapping with their clients and on themselves.

Whilst my trainings are ideal for people in helping professions, they are open to people from a variety of backgrounds. I incorporate lots of psycho-education about EFT, the nervous system, and how trauma shows up in the body, so you don’t necessarily need to be a professional of any kind to train with me.

EFT is evidence-based, and is becoming more widely known and accepted in the mainstream public health system. I am excited to show you how learning EFT can vastly improve quality of life for both you and your clients.

I’m so happy you’re here.

As a mental health professional, you are likely to be working with people who have experienced significant trauma, which is often showing up for them as the mental and physical health problems we know are more common in traumatised humans.

I specialise in teaching people how to do Clinical EFT / Tapping in a way that can be most easily tolerated by a person who has a lot of activated trauma in their body.

My approach is based on many years of specialising in working with people who have experienced sexual trauma. It is focused on education, regulation, and creating safety. This way of working helps both clients and practitioners feel prepared and not scared when they inevitably encounter some trauma during EFT sessions. Because they feel empowered with a clear understanding of what is going on with, why, and what to do next.

What is EFT?

EFT is an evidence-based stress-reduction tool which can be used in therapy to help people change the way they think, feel and behave.

It is also a powerful self-help tool which we can teach to others so they can regulate their own nervous systems. Anywhere, any time.

For me, EFT has been the most useful and practical training I have taken in my 35 year Social Work career, because I am able to apply it in my own life to reduce my own stress and change any thoughts and feelings I am not enjoying. It has helped me create a practice that suits my body and nervous system, which allows me to enjoy a better work life balance.

EFT is often referred to as “tapping” because in EFT we tap on acupressure points on the face and upper body to help our body gently release stress.

Clinical EFT combines elements of modern psychological approaches with the somatic stimulation of acupressure points.

Some experts have referred to EFT as part of the “Fourth Wave of Therapy”, because it includes the body into the therapy. Whereas earlier types of traditional talk therapy are focused solely on the mind and cognitions (for example, CBT: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).

Research shows that it is the inclusion of the body in therapy which adds the power and speed which EFT has become known for.

How I can help you

Let’s face it, the world needs more people who know how to do EFT / tapping, now.

Many people are becoming more aware of the impact of trauma on their body and in their life. They are searching for more effective ways to do therapy and to help themselves. Lots of people are open to somatic modalities like EFT/Tapping now, and in my experience many people are searching for mental health professionals who are proficient at EFT.

That is why I am building a little army of mental health professionals who are not just trained in EFT, but Certified in EFT.

Now is the time for those of us in the helping professions to learn EFT—not only to help our clients more effectively, but to also regulate our own nervous systems. So we are better equipped to help others, and can protect ourselves at the same time from the stresses associated with our work.

If you are in a helping profession and have yet to learn EFT, or have trained in EFT multiple times and want to feel more competent and confident to use this tool in your practice, I would love to work with you.

Testimonial

Having just finished “The Bubble” training with Jules this morning, I have no hesitation in recommending this training to anyone wanting to learn how to use EFT safely and with confidence. The learning environment feels safe and warm, yet is so professional. I have done Level 1 & 2 Trainings before but have never left feeling this informed about how to start in shallow water before going deeper. I learned structure and clarity that I hadn’t learned before. Jules and her team of Emotional Assistants are passionate, authentic people who are easy to be with, yet can deliver valuable feedback that supports professional growth as well as providing consistent support throughout the training, and sharing their knowledge and experience outside the limits of the curriculum. I’m really grateful to have discovered this training. If you want to learn EFT, get in the Bubble.

The Ocean of Emotion

The human body is a bit like the Ocean. It can look calm on the outside but be full of powerful energy underneath.

For those uneducated in the ways of the ocean, a calm stretch of water can look like a good place for a swim. But it may be full of rips and currents which could lead to a person drowning in minutes, even if they know how to swim.

To swim safely in the ocean, we need to educate ourselves about what to do if we find ourselves in a rip or a current.

Doing EFT is similar; we need to be well educated and confident in knowing how to help those clients who become dysregulated easily, and feel overwhelmed by the EFT process as a result.

Otherwise they can feel like they are in a big rough ocean without anything to cling on to.

We can then panic ourselves, as practitioners, if we don’t know how to help that person come out of that state and find regulation again.

Let me teach you how to surf this amazing Fourth Wave of Therapy safely, so that EFT becomes your go-to tool. You will improve your own quality of life, as well as that of your clients.
